The Beacon Collective is a community bringing together voices from across legal and technology. This privacy notice explains how we handle your personal data when you register as a Beacon Voice or interact with our website.
What data we collect
When you complete the "Become a Beacon Voice" form, we collect:
- Your first and last name
- Email address
- Organisation
- Role or focus area
- Your interests (e.g. Illuminate 2026, Spark gatherings, sponsorship)
- Date and time of your submission
How we use your data
We use the information you provide to:
- Keep you informed about Beacon Collective events, including Illuminate and Spark gatherings
- Share relevant news and opportunities connected to the community
- Manage event registrations and waiting lists
- Respond to sponsorship or partnership enquiries
We will only contact you about matters related to The Beacon Collective. We will never sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
How we store your data
Your data is stored securely on our web server. Access to submission data is restricted to authorised Beacon Collective team members only. We do not transfer your data outside of the UK/EEA.
Your rights

- Rectification — ask us to correct any inaccurate data
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data

Cookies
This website uses two kinds of cookie.
Essential cookies are needed for the site to work, for example to keep administrators signed in. They are always on.
Analytics cookies are set by Google Analytics, only if you choose Accept in the cookie banner. They tell us how many people visit, which pages they read and how they found us, so we can improve the site. Google processes this information on our behalf. The cookies are named _ga and _ga_* and last up to two years.
If you choose Reject, no analytics cookies are set and Google Analytics does not load. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
